SEDH 2×08. We visit the simulation center of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo

The next episode of Simulating is Human invites us to travel to the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) , in the Dominican Republic, to discover its clinical simulation center and learn firsthand about its impact on healthcare training.

On this occasion, Professor José Manuel Ramos Rincón , Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Miguel Hernández University (UMH), travels to the UASD to interview Agustín Díaz , head of the postgraduate area at the simulation center.

During the interview, key topics will be addressed, such as the role of simulation in competency-based learning, resident training, the importance of non-technical skills—such as communication and teamwork—and the challenges of implementing a simulation culture in growing educational environments.

The episode, presented by Sergio Javaloy Ballestero , a clinical simulation technician, is part of the initiative of the Clinical Simulation Area of ​​the UMH (ASCUMH) to publicize the value of simulation in improving patient safety.

An opportunity to learn how other international centers are developing clinical simulation and to move towards safer, more innovative and collaborative training.
