SEDH 2×09. The technical staff in simulation
15 May 2026
The next episode of “Simulating is Human” will focus on a figure as essential as it is often overlooked: clinical simulation technicians. Throughout the episode, we’ll learn about the stories and careers of several professionals working in different centers across the country. They’ll tell us about their daily work in virtual hospitals and simulation centers, the skills they need, and how they contribute to enabling students and healthcare professionals to train in a safe and controlled environment—one of the main objectives of the Clinical Simulation Area at UMH.
The program will also cover the Technical Sessions of the 13th National and 1st International Congress of the Spanish Society for Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety (SESSEP). In this context, a collaborative simulator development project was presented, illustrating how innovation can arise from networking between technical departments at different centers.
With this episode, the Clinical Simulation Area of the UMH reinforces its commitment to dissemination and simulation-based training, bringing closer to the university and healthcare community the key role played by technical staff in improving the quality of care and patient safety
The episode, presented by Sergio Javaloy Ballestero , a clinical simulation technician, is part of the initiative of the Clinical Simulation Area of the UMH (ASCUMH) to publicize the value of simulation in improving patient safety.
An opportunity to learn how other international centers are developing clinical simulation and to move towards safer, more innovative and collaborative training.
You can listen to the episode live next Monday, May 18, 2026, at 12:30 pm on Radio UMH.
